Grants & premiums for hiring

As part of a recruitment process in France, companies can benefit from various hiring aids and measures.

Among these aids are the Competitiveness and Employment Tax Credit (CICE), resulting in a reduction of social charges for companies employing employees and being taxed on companies or income.

Several specific contracts also exist to encourage hiring. This is the case of the Hiring Contract offering various hiring aids such as a reduction in employer contributions. These contracts concern young people between the ages of 16 and 29 and take the form of a permanent or fixed-term contract – from 6 months to 3 years – with remuneration between 27% and 78% of the SMIC.

There is also the Professionalization Contract, which, like the Hiring Contract, offers various hiring aids for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 or over 26 if the person in question is a jobseeker. This contract takes the form of a fixed-term contract of 6 to 12 months or a permanent contract with a professionalization action of between 6 to 12 months with a remuneration between 55% and 80% of the SMIC.
